Where to stay in Santiago?

The best connected neighborhoods are Providencia and Las Condes.

Where is it best to exchange money?

In the center of Santiago (Agustinas) or in Providencia (Pedro de Valdivia) there are many exchange stores where you will find the best exchange rate, such as Afex. In Las Condes, you can also find some exchange stores on the outskirts of Apumanque.

What should I buy during my visit to Chile?

In Chile it is worth buying clothing (especially sportswear from recognized brands), high quality wines and electronics (TV, computers and accessories).

What vineyards do you recommend visiting?

The Concha y Toro Vineyard in the Maipo Valley is one of the most visited in Santiago as it is the largest in the country. However, there are many wonderful vineyards in the surrounding area such as in the Casablanca Valley (Casas del Bosque or Matetic), Colchagua (Lapostolle, Viu Manent or Montes) or Cachapoal (Vik).

In what languages are the visits given?

In general, visits are offered in Spanish, English and/or Portuguese.

Do you accept last minute reservations?

It will depend on the capacity of our respective service provider. Write to us and we will notify you when we send you our quote about the feasibility of your request.

Once the client receives confirmation of the requested services from a member of our team, they will be informed of the deadline on which full payment for the services will be required in order to ensure the availability of the requested service. In the event that the service is not paid within this date, the reservation will be cancelled.

What are the terms and conditions of sale?

Chile Stop Travel Ltda. is legally authorized to offer tourist services of accommodation, ground transportation, excursions, air tickets, cruises and rental vehicles, exercising its function as an online travel agency.

We work only as an intermediary between the service provider and/or tour operator and the end user or client, providing advice for the planning and purchase of their trip. This company does not have nor assume control over these suppliers.

Our company is not responsible for any event that causes delays to passengers, physical or material damage to their belongings and luggage or that may cause the death of a passenger and that are a consequence of the negligence of the service providers themselves, catastrophes. natural disasters, diseases, terrorist acts or any other act of God.

Chile Stop reserves the right to modify or cancel the contracted services in the event that major force circumstances put the safety and physical integrity of passengers at risk or if there is any cause that threatens this company. It also reserves the right to modify or cancel any contracted service if the provider unilaterally forces it to do so.

Current rates and conditions may vary without prior notice and are the sole responsibility of the service provider. Quotes are valid according to the dates indicated. 

Non-resident tourists in Chile do not pay taxes in hotels if they pay their reservations in american dollars. Chilean passengers and foreigners residing in Chile must pay 19% VAT tax.

Chile Stop reserves the right to withdraw a tour or part of it, make modifications to the itinerary when it appears necessary or appropriate, refuse to accept any person as a member of the tour at any time and hold tour members responsible for any expenses or losses caused by delays or events beyond your control.

At the time of confirming or paying for the services contracted to Chile Stop, the passenger accepts and is governed by these policies.

What are the payment options?

All services must be paid in full by the passenger once the reservation is confirmed, prior to the start of the trip. Payment can be made once the tourist service is confirmed by our team, under one of the following alternatives:

Credit or debit card

We will send a link to a secure online payment page, where you must complete the form with your card information.

Bank transfer or deposit

The bank account details will be provided so that you can make the transfer or deposit for the total amount of the services.

Once payment has been received for 100% of the contracted services, Chile Stop will send its clients electronic vouchers with all the details of the services purchased (suppliers, addresses, dates, telephone numbers, etc.), which must be presented by the passenger to the corresponding provider at the time of performing the corresponding service, be it hotel, transportation, guide, etc.

It is the client's responsibility to verify that the vouchers contain all of the contracted services and that the information contained in them conforms to the services.

How does the modification, cancellation and/or cancellation of services work?

Any cancellation or modification of the service must be made through the e-mail reservas@chilestop.cl

If the reservation is canceled or modified more than 30 days before the start date of the program, only a charge of USD 50 will be made for administration and the rest of the total paid will be returned.

If the reservation is canceled or modified between 15 days and 30 days before the start date, 75% of the total value of the reservation will be refunded.

If the reservation is canceled or modified between 7 days and 14 days before the start date, 50% of the total value of the reservation will be refunded.

If the reservation is canceled or modified less than 7 days before the start date of the program, there will be no refund.

In the case of air tickets, there is no refund and changes are subject to availability on the side of the airline.

*Note: There are special cancellation policies in the case of cruises and some hotels that will be communicated at the time of confirming the reservation. There is no refund for tourist services contracted and not used, or the non-use of food services.*

Cancellation of Services

Chile Stop is not responsible for any expenses incurred by a passenger due to weather conditions that affect the normal development of the contracted services or that do not allow access to the place where the activity takes place.

We recommend passengers consider purchasing travel insurance. It is their responsibility to contract the insurance that they consider appropriate or necessary and it will always be their responsibility to have travel insurance that is required by any authority or legal provision.

What is your claims policy and limit of responsibility?

Passengers will have a maximum period of 30 days to make their claims. This period will be counted from the date on which the event or situation that gives rise to the claim occurs. Claims must be made by email to reservas@chilestop.cl. The claim must contain a detailed explanation and attach all supporting documents or receipts if necessary. The company will not consider claims received outside of this period.

Once the information is received, the corresponding investigation will begin to determine the responsibility of the service provider. The foregoing, without prejudice to the right of clients to make the corresponding claims before the Courts of Justice or the administrative authority.

Limit of Responsibility

Chile Stop will not be responsible for any damages caused to passengers as a result of the inadequate provision, by the suppliers, of the contracted services. The responsibility extends exclusively to the process of quoting services and issuing vouchers. In the event of non-compliance by the provider in the provision of services, the client must take action against him, either through judicial or administrative means.

It is the passenger's responsibility to have a valid identification card or passport, as the case may be; have a visa if required and comply with the health requirements to enter the country he intends to visit; as well as any additional necessary documentation.

Chile Stop will not be responsible in any case for the expenses incurred by a passenger as a result or consequence of the delay, loss or cancellation of a scheduled flight.
